All person who live within the boundaries of the Stinson Memorial Library
District shall be eligible to receive a library card and to use the library
material, free of charge.
Non-Resident Card
Persons who do not live within the Stinson Memorial Library District may
purchase a non-resident card for $50.00 per year. A fee of $100 is required to
be able to use all the libraries in the Shawnee Library System.
Reciprocal Borrower's Card
The Stinson Memorial Library District will honor borrowing privileges of
non-residents who hold Shawnee Library System Reciprocal Borrower's cards.
Reciprocal cards holders are entitled to the same privileges as library card
holders.
B. Schedule of Loan Periods The following types of materials may be available
for circulation as indicated:
Books are loaned for three weeks, new books are loaned for one week,
audiocassettes are loaned for three weeks, videocassettes are loaned for three
days, and reference materials do not circulate.
C. Circulation Regulations Overdue
Library materials are to be returned when they are due of they may be renewed. A
charge of 5 cents per day per item will be levied on overdue materials except
videos. The charge of overdue videos is $1.00 per day per video
Renewals
Books and other materials may be renewed in person or by telephone. Books on
reserve may not be renewed. Books and materials which are infrequently used may
be renewed indefinitely.
D. Replacement Prices Library Materials
The patron will be charged the current replacement cost plus a processing fee
for all lost or badly damaged library materials.
Library Card
The initial library card will be issued free of charge. The non-resident fee and
the Reciprocal Borrower's fee include the price of the library card. The
replacement fee is $1.00 for lost library cards.
