Footnotes from Stinson

A 90th anniversary celebration is planned for Saturday, August 14 at Stinson Memorial Library in Anna. A reception is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. More details at a later date.

 Walter Burley Griffin, a colleague of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, designed the library, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Stinson Library was dedicated August 14, 1914.

Friends of Stinson Library extend a thank you to the individuals and business/organizations for the membership renewals and to the new members. Membership forms are available at Stinson Library or online.

 

The Friends of Stinson have donated approximately 325 new books to the library. A partial list of titles available include:

The Friends of Stinson plan to meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 3 at the library. 

The drawing for the L-100 John Deere lawn tractor is planned for Saturday, August 14. Tickets are available from A-J Motor Co. or Stinson Library. Proceeds will benefit library projects.
