The Friends of Stinson Library Book in Every Home Project for May donated 164 books to preschool through 5th grade at Dongola Elementary School and 330 books to preschool through 5th grade at Jonesboro Elementary School.

 

A total of 2,20l books have been donated since the project began in December 2002.

 

The Friends of Stinson Library voice appreciation to library director Lisa Livesay for assistance with the project and to the community for its support. 

 

Stinson Library and the Friends of Stinson Library voice their appreciation to The Gazette-Democrat, Anna State Bank, Jonesboro First National Bank in Anna, WIBH Radio, The Southern Illinoisan and participating businesses for the advertising of the May 14-21 book sale.  Appreciation also is voiced to those who donated books, volunteered and support the book sales each year.

 

The Friends of Stinson plan to meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the library.  Topics on the agenda include donation of books from the spring book sale, continued donation of new books to the library and October’s ColorFest .
