The Friends of Stinson Library organization’s first newsletter was released and distributed to members on June 21. Copies of the newsletter are available at the library.
The 2005 membership drive is underway. Renewal date is July 1. Individual memberships are $10 for two years. Business/organization membership is $25 for two years. Individual lifetime membership is $100.

Books were donated from the spring book sale to Dongola Public Library, Jonesboro Public Library, Tamms Correctional Center, Jonesboro Health Care Center, Anna City Care Center, Cobden City Care Center, J R Centre, Davie Center, and Choate Mental Health and Development Center.
The latest bestsellers available at the library include “The Mermaid Chair” by Sue Monk Kidd, “4th of July” by James Patterson and “1776” by David McCullouch.
Children’s titles include “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss and “10 Little Rubber Ducks” by Eric Carle.
The Friends of Stinson Library plan to meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. An annual meeting is planned for noon at the library. Topics on the agenda include a membership drive and ColorFest in October.
