The Friends of Stinson Library extend a thank you to the individuals and business/organizations for the membership renewals.  Also, appreciation to the new members.  

 

The Friends of Stinson held an annual meeting July 5.

 

Officers elected were Kathy Tolson, president; Judy Watkins, secretary; and Jackie Beatty, treasurer.  Friends board members are Mary Ann Eblen, Marilyn Keller, Sandy Davis, Jan Hunter, Michael Grubbe, Carol Larsen, Kay McRaven and Janet Mears.

 

The group’s next meeting is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 2 at the library.

 

New large print books available at the library include “Maisie Dobbs” by Jacqueline Winspear and “Birds of a Feather” (second in the series) by Jacqueline Winspear.

 

New adult books available include “One Shot” by Lee Child, “Lifeguard” by James Patterson, “Winning” by Jack Welch and “French Women Don’t Get Fat” by Mireille Guiliano. 

 

Young adult books available include “Saving Francesca” by Melina Marchetta and “Private Peaceful” by Michael Morpurgo.
