The Friends of Stinson Library organization plans to have a display of books, tote bags, sweatshirts, t-shirts and notecards at an annual tag sale sponsored by PAST. A gift basket will be raffled. The event is scheduled Saturday, January 28, at the Davie Center on Freeman Street in Anna. Hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The latest best sellers available at the library are “S Is For Silence” by Sue Grafton, “Just Rewards” by Barbara Taylor Bradford, “Mary, Mary: a novel” by James Patterson, “The Hostage” by W.E.B. Griffin, “Turning Angel” by Greg Iles and “Teacher Man: a memoir” by Frank McCourt. Young readers titles include “The Red Book” by Barbara Lehman, “Coming On Home Soon” by Jacqueline Woodson and “Kitten’s First Full Moon” by Kevin Henkes. The Friends of Stinson Library plan to meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, at the library. Quote: “Let us read with method, and propose to ourselves an end to which our studies may point.
