Stinson Library is completing a lighting renovation project that was paid for by a grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Foundation.  Lighting in the main library is being restored to represent the original aesthetics of the library building. The project is scheduled for completion in April.

New books available at the library include “5th Horseman” by James Patterson, “If You Could See What I See” by Sylvia Browne, “The Last Templar” by Raymond Khoury and “You’re Wearing That?” by Deborah Tannen.

Betty Coffman of Anna won a raffle gift basket at a January 28 tag sale event hosted by PAST.  The Friends of Stinson Library sponsored the gift basket.

A book signing with local author Ronald Schmeck is planned for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at the library.  Schmeck is the author of a book titled “The Other Side of the Middle”.

The Friends of Stinson plan to meet at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 7 at the library.  Topics on the agenda include the purchase of outdoor trash containers and outdoor lighting for the library.
