Stinson Library plans to have a display of books, tote bags, t-shirts, sweatshirts and notecards at the 2007 Union County Business Expo. A spring gift basket will be raffled. The expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. New books available at the library include “The Measure of a Man” by Sidney Poitier, “Shoot, Minnie, Shoot!”, the story of the 1904 Shaw Indian girls basketball’s first world champions, by Happy Jack Feder, “Sisters” by Danielle Steel and “Step on a Crack” by James Patterson. Young readers titles include “So B. It: a novel” by Sarah Weeks and “The Higher Power of Lucky” by Susan Patron. The Friends of Stinson Library plan to meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at the library. Topics on the agenda include a spring book sale and the purchase of bookshelves for the library.
