The reading room was dedicated in honor of Ray R. Vaugn, Oel L. Bean and Helen Smith.  Other contributors to the reading room included the Townsend F. Dodd American Legion Post 344 and its Auxiliary, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority's Zeta Psi Chapter.  Members of the Friends of Stinson Memorial Library also contributed time and energy to the project.
