The Board of Trustees of the Stinson Memorial Library District offers the use of the facilities to any group of citizens within the area for cultural, educational, or civic purposes, provided that such meetings be open to the general public. (Merely social or commercials meetings do not fall within these categories.) Certain regulations have been established for the use of the facilities.

 

bulletRequests for the use of the facilities must be made to the librarian. Requests will be honored in the order of application. Requests for use by the same group in excess of once each month will only be granted if there are no conflicting requests received at least ten day prior to the time requested. The library board reserves the right to determine justifiable use and cancellation for just reasons.

 

bulletRefreshments should be kept simple, such as a beverage and cake or cookies (finger foods). Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. A group must furnish its own serving cups and plates, etc.

 

bulletThe organization shall be responsible for any advance preparations and for leaving the facilities in order after use. Proper clean up and storage of the organization's own equipment shall be included in this condition. A $10.00 clean up fee may be imposed on any group violating this requirement. The library does not provide porter service to carry supplies and equipment to the meeting room. If the services or assistance of staff personnel are desired, prior arrangements should be made and appropriate charges will be made for such services.

 

bulletChildren's groups may use the facilities provided they are supervised by adult sponsors, at the suggested ratio of one adult for each ten children in attendance.

 

bulletAll meetings shall end by 10:00 p.m.

 

bulletFor and in consideration of the use of the library facilities any person or group using same hereby agrees to indemnify and hold the Stinson Memorial Library District harmless from any and all actions, suits, causes of or relating to, its use of such rooms and facilities. Further, such person or group agrees to indemnify the library from any and all costs for repair of any and all damage as may be caused directly or indirectly to the facilities by such use thereof. There will be no charge for the use of the meeting room. activities of any nature disruptive of other library functions will not be permitted. The solicitations of funds within the library or the selling of objects, will not be permitted except among members of the same group, within the meeting room, during the course of said group's meeting.
