God Loves Me So

Yes Jesus loves me —
I sing that refrain again,
And as I do I am filled with joy
Because I know it's true.

Everyday in so many ways,
He shows his love to me,
And all he asks for me to do
Is share that love with you.

He set the standard of service;
The path I need to walk.
He lived his life as his Father bid,
In service, in love, and in sacrifice.

He suffered and died — yes, he was crucified.
Then he arose and now reigns on high.
God's perfect plan for the salvation of man
Through Jesus Christ, his son.

Now I wait for his return,
The Son of man — the Christ.
Then to heaven I shall go
Because God loves me so.
