Ruby Jung was born in Kentucky and has lived most of her life in Carbondale in Jackson County, Illinois.
She is also a member of SIWG, The Southern Illinois Writers Guild, which meets at John A. Logan College in Williamson County, and of HWG, The Heartland Writers Guild which meets in Sikeston, Missouri.
She maintains naturealmanac.com, a website in support of The Waterman and Hill-Traveller's Companion, a local nature almanac published by her husband, Jim Jung.
She also has a personal website, Ruby's Tuesdays, where she posts reminiscences, poems, jokes, and photos.
